Vintage Green Merriam Metal Lock (Cash) Box
Inscribed on the portion of the lock on the inside of the box:
MERRIAM MFG. CO.
DURHAM, CONN.
MADE IN U.S.A.
The color is Green; It is heavy.
Length:        11 ½”           Width:          5 ½”             Height:    3 ½”
Paint patch worn on the lid top.  Small nickel-size paint scrape on back outside of the lid.  Tape residue on top and front of box.
It's possible
that the lock part inside the box came loose and was brazed back on causing the stain we see on the box.
