The Sharps Bros. MB47 is a milled style AK rifle patterned after Bulgarian receivers with the added feature of an integrated AR buffer extension to easily accommodate common AR15 buffer tubes and stocks without the need for an adapter. Additionally the Sharps Bros. MB47 features a magwell plate which will help to eliminate over insertion of the magazine to quickly and correctly index a mag in place. Rounding out these rifle builds to modernize the venerable AK platform are the Licensed SLR Rifleworks CNC machined modular M-LOK handguards which run the full length of the barrel to provide numerous mounting points for equipment and accessories. These handguards are designed to be ultra slim and ergonomic and remain lightweight despite running the full length of the barrel.
Internally the rifle features a reinforced 8mm TM compatible version 3 gearbox with a quick change locking spring guide; this ensures compatibility with the great majority of aftermarket parts as well as allowing easy spring changes without disassembly of the gearbox itself. The rifles come from the factory with neodymium magnet motors for improved performance out of the box.
