For sale is one (1) used Farmers & Merchant Bank Antique Cannonball Safe. Manganese Steel.
We do not have the combination. Note the handle does come off and the hinge pieces are broken off. (see the last picture)
We are told that this safe stayed in the lobby of the Farmers & Merchant Bank.  They thought it was safe there because it weighs approximately 2800#.  They were wrong - it was stolen.  The thieves took it to New Orleans, where they were eventually found.  Later to be hanged for bank robbery.  We are unable to verify any of this information.
