Antique Victorian Metal Brass Safe CASH BOX solid condition w history & Xtras
Believe this is english.  it is black & gold enamel.  kind of roughed up just like it should for its age.
tho I don't know the history of this Box since its beginning can give you a little.
there is a box name on the side so undoubtedly came over on a boat & was probably most likely someones prize treasure.
The box was found years & years ago in a friends home in a secret storage she found in her home when renovating some of the rooms.  It had nothing in it but she really thought she may have come upon a treasure.
the box interior has 2 hinged drawers that open & compartments.
the top handle is also hinged & can move.
There are 2 wads of cash you see in the pictures, they are actually firestarters but look really cool near or in this box if you want to create a display.  we have had the box on display near an old Wells fargo wooden chest we had for years that was most likely one of the chests that had $$ during a robbery because it was beat to heck.one day we will sell that too.
this box measures 12" lengthwise x 7" front to back x 4.25"
